In Memory of John C. Hirschey, a life long friend on the New York FFA, Oswegatchie, and Lewis County.
On February 9th, 2017, the Lewis County community lost a good friend and dedicated citizen. John Hirschey was a valued member of the agricultural community for his deep knowledge of farm accounting and locally for his business savvy. His customers came from all over for his expertise.
John was good counsel for Oswegatchie as we made improvements and became a sustainable business. When our organization was in tough times, he often provided his accounting services at no cost. After we started the AdironDuck Race, John became the annual sponsor for "Bill Smith, the Adirondack Storyteller", making him a main stay attraction for the event.
For our 2017 and 2018 AdironDuck Race event, the family of John Hirschey have provided the funds for Bill Smith. We are thankful for their support in making this event a success.
