Where Do Race Ducks Go When They Retire?
Every duck in service to Oswegatchie, lives a life of daily prep for the next race. They wake up early, swim laps, work out, eat right, and rest up for the next year's race. When ducks go into retirement, it can sometimes be a hard transition. With our new flock of 10,000 ducks. We now have 4,300 little yellow friends that need new homes.
With your help, we can give these ducks a second life in the world. For $4, you can become an adoptive parent for one of these ducks. To sweeten the deal, you can send us photos to be placed in a gallery on this page. Once you get a duck, email us a picture at info@oswegatchie.org! Taking your duck on vacation is highly recommended! We also love shots from school welcome signs! As of April 5th, 2013 - 564 retired racers have been adopted! When adopting a duck from Oswegatchie online, you will be charged $4, and a flat $3 shipping fee. The more you order, the shipping stays at $3. Retired racers can be picked up at Oswegatchie in person for $4 and avoid the shipping costs. We greatly appreciate your help with this flock and our fundraising efforts. All funds go directly back into making Oswegatchie a better place for everyone. We do have bulk rates available. (Large volumes of ducks are great as practical jokes. I recommend 50 as a house warming gift hidden everywhere.)
